        Omnia Arfin (b. 1984) was born in Egypt, grew up in Saudi Arabia, and then emigrated to Canada—a life that has given her the chance to meet people of different cultures and religions, and enhance her desire to tell stories about them. Omnia is concerned about issues related to the beauty and women objectifying in this materialistic world, also the human and social rights.
        Arfin's is passionate about photography since she was 16 years old, when she started to work in wedding photography studio with her aunt in Saudi Arabia, then went on to do academic training in photography, she has experience in product photography as well. Omnia received her bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts majoring Graphic Design in 2007, and studying now for master’s degree. 

        In 2012, Arfin was selected by Al-Liquindoi photojournalism workshop, Contemporary Image Collective and NOOR Images program "Visual Storytelling in an Open Society", an eight-month training opportunity for documentary photographers and photojournalists in Egypt, mentored by Nina Berman, Rula Halawani and Sheryl Mendez. She also was selected by World Press Photo in 2013 for the intensive project ”Stories of Change Beyond the Arab Spring” for North African visual storytellers, mentored by Donald Weber and Magdalena Herrera, which was held in Tunis and Morocco. Her work has published in Lens - The New York Times, Almasry Alyoum Newspaper, Huna Sotak (Netherland Radio) and she is a contributor at Panorama Mada Masr. Moreover, she exhibited and won numerous awards locally and globally as a member of "In Focus" photography club.
